With the dire consequences of climate change understood through first-hand experiences by countries across this region, this session seeks to explore how various organizations, non-profits, industries, and leaders are promoting diverse and innovative forms of disaster mitigation. Presentations in this session can include efforts to overcome knowledge barriers, to promote resilience behavior from populations living in vulnerable regions, to innovative technologies, partnerships, and actions for alleviating the greatest impacts from climate change, among many other salient topics.
